Jagex has always had a smear campaign against autoing/macroing/botting. Most players listen to them and their warnings of “If you do it, we will catch you, and you will be banned.” Out of fear for their precious accounts, people don’t even look for cheats.

I want to tell you otherwise.

I have played RuneScape for roughly 4 years. It will be 5 this June, not counting the breaks I have taken. For most of those 4 years, I was the model player. I reported players when I thought it was neccessary, I didn’t break rules (except swearing, but hey, that’s been lifted a bit) and most of all, I didn’t bot. RuneScape was never really boring. I was a member for most of the time, and so I had plenty to do. RuneScape was good.

Shortly before 2008 breathed its last breath, I re-kindled a friendship with an old mate. He introduced me to sites such as Sythe and Fagex, and taught me the art of scamming. Together we scammed two accounts, and several membership PINs. Sythe and Fagex also have a RSBot section, and I looked through it and eventually downloaded RSBot.

I wish I had done it sooner. RSBot is easily the best thing I have done in my RuneScape career. I am botting right now! Jagex claims they will find you, and yet in 3+ months of near constant botting, I have not been warned nor banned.

As the title proclaims, robots don’t get Carpal Tunnel. If RuneScape is getting boring, you can do what I always did, and take a break. Alternatively, you can take the step and get RSBot. You will never be the same.

I know it’s been a while since i posted an article on TRB and i thought that this might be the right time. With the new HD graphics update and all the changes that Runescape has concured this year. As you guys might know, or maybe you probably dont. You probably don’t but yeah, im the creator of RuneSociety and as an admin, im really starting to get the impression that Jagex is slowly killing off RuneScape Help. Why? Well, im not completely certian of course, and this article is mostly alot of my opinion instead of fact, but i think it will really make you think. Over the course of the years, RuneScape Help has been a driving factor in the growth of RuneScape. Even if someone doesn’t play the game itself, they would join a forum like RuneSociety and just simply hang out with the crowd and eventually get into the game at least a bit. So lets talk about some of the actions Jagex has taken and are taking to try and possibly destroy 3rd party help.

Ever since the dark ages of RuneScape, and even more so since the release of RuneScape 2, fansites have been saving Jagex’s ass. As head content developer for RuneCrypt, I have seen quite a few things about how tipsites are forced to function, that I never would have suspected in my 3 year history as a normal tipsite visitor prior to becoming a member of the staff. So by now most people have heard about the upcoming ten ton gorilla graphics update for runescape. To be honest, i think its about time something really good like this happened. For the past year or so, jagex has been getting a bad rep over RuneScape due to all the really radical changes they are making. Of course, thats a whole other issue and would be pointless to discuss in this issue. Anyway, to get back to the point. I think Jagex is finally going to get something right. If RuneScape wants to survive in the upcoming MMORPG heat, it needed to buff up its game. Jagex realized that if they didn’t cut the laziness and start working on something that will make people head back to RuneScape.. their pretty much over. After all, most people eventually move onto World of Warcraft (WoW) from RuneScape. Why? Although i don’t have a definite answer, i believe that it could be the possiblity of growing up a bit more. Like for example, as i started to learn more and started to hit age 14-15, i started to realize that there were alot better games out there.
