It’s not for the weak minded to get addicted. The game drags you in no matter how politically correct you think you are. I’ve played on and off for 6 years, I’m fine, but now I’m “quitting”, so to speak. I’m just tired of same old same old, I had shitty skills, whatever. I played for fun. The fun’s worn off. Time to move on. Can’t have everything in life.

TL;DR version:
Do whatever you think is FUN. Remember, though, that pixels don’t get you damn anywhere in life.

i started playing back in 05 when i was 10 years old and those first few summers i was always inside, and all and all it fucked up my social life but now im almost 15 i actuoly just quit about an hr ago. what i used to do to make runescape more interesting is i used to smoke so much bud that woodcutting was actuoly funny and interesting so since i quit im no longer a stoner/geek but a regular stoner

I agree with you, Kyle. Addiction is only for the weak-minded. And besides, getting addicted to a game that has such poor gameplay (e.g. chopping down 300 yew trees to make 9 mil gp after spending a month) is just pathetic. Go get a life, losers.

I started playing runescape when I was 10, and I quit when I was 13.

1. How I quit was by selling all my stuff, and buying crucial non-member items, you can keep your skillcapes if you want.

2.Once I had only non-member items left, I quit membership, and played as a non-member for about a week.

3.Once the week was up, I quit runescape altogether for another week.

4.After that week during which I quit, I never wanted to play runescape again.

I also decided to play a less addicting game, such as Age of Mythology, which was fun, as well as less addicting.

I went outside more often and played sports with others.

Doing anything outside helps, including climbing trees. LOL.

I started playing RS when my friend told me about it in sixth grade. I was addicted to the game, but the effects of the addiction were not that big because I was young and had not may responsibilities. Finally, I quit all computer games and stopped playing for 6 months. So, then I decided to try out RS a couple of weeks ago. At first, I wasn’t obsessed, but then I realized I was playing up to three hours a day. I was a lvl 7 with 175k on my acc and 32 mining. I decided to quit again, and in order not to be tempted to play again, I dropped all my items, and gave away my money to noobs; this made the account virtually worthless. So anyway, RS is just a game AND, once you turn off your computer, all those achievments, EX, and GP dont really count in your real life (It’s really just some pixilated images).

hey guys i know some of you can get hooked but alot of us just play for the fun until we have the time to go hang with friends so all you parents out there reading this take into consideration that your kids might just like it just cuz its a great game to play. and i have to say i am a level 124 and i play it and its fun i cant lie but i can say i am not addicted. so good luck on reading more of these bye [=
