I started playing runescape in grade 4 all of my friends played and i didnt know how to play at all! i started off playing on my friends account making money very slowly. After a while of playing i realized that i would give up every day activities just for this game called runescape. I would spend my own money and buy runescape gp for my pure accs. I am now in grade 11 and i still play runescape. I have lost many good friends because of this game and is seriously an addicition. I was getting Bs and As in school but by highschool i had a c average. SERIOUSLY YOU GUYS IF I CAN HELP ONE PERSON I FEEL LIKE I HAVE MADE A GOOD DAYS WORK PLZ QUIT!

Hey,

I’m not sure what stat to bot and get some serious cash,

So what skill is most profitable at around level 75/80?

Fishing? Woodcutting? Mining?

well i started to play runescape in 8 grade im a senior now and im telling u the shit is addicted i had a girlfriend since 8 grade and last year when i was a junior we broke up after that i got depresses and the ony way out i found was runescape i started to play for 20 hours everyday sometimes i would play 40 hours and sleep 4-5? was killing me i was 155 pounds and i got to 180 but i meet someone in my life who change the way i use to see runescape now i have a new girlfriend i have great grades at skool im graduating and i finally have a life i still play runescape im a level 136 but i play for like 1 hour on the weekends and i get off i meet great people in runescape idk if u flame me for still playing but now i control my self and i wont play for more them an hour if u reading this dont be like oh i quit soon … just doe stop playing to much i dont give a fuck if you play for 3-4 hours thats not that bad but when u start thinking about runescape when u when ur family or skool there is when u know ur addicted ….. hope this help anybody sorry for my english im not american but hope u undrestand a little rsn 2locokills

Just to add on to my last post. There’s a feature that shows you your playtime. My playtime? 89 days and 17 hours. Do you know how many hours that is? That’s almost 1800 hours. 1800 hours I’ll never get back.

I had been playing RuneScape for quite some time. One day, I got scammed and lost 10m. So I stormed around, swore at myself, and then did some calculations to see how long it would take me to get it back.. “Let’s see… If I spend six hours a day, I can make it back in less than a week. And hey – If I make it that fast, why not make more? To the tune of 100m? Okay, that’s 10 weeks.. Two and a half months…” And that’s when I was thinking… WTF am I doing with my life? My BMI is quite a bit more than it should be.. I’m around sixty pounds overweight – something I can credit to RuneScape.

So even though I wanted to murder those scammers, I’m actually kind of thanking them now. Although I still play RuneScape to keep up with my online buddies, I play it far less than I did.. And now, I’m losing weight and getting back in shape. Life is truly looking better for me.

since everyone have their own story, why don’t i tell mine. it all started when my friend introduced me to runescape. at that time i don’t really know what runescape is and what i did is just walk around seeing people fighting .. and 3 months later .. guess what? i’m addicted to it. i start to play runescape on every single day and sometimes i’m so addict that i had forgotten to eat my meals … years past and my grades start to drop … and for the FIRST TIME I GOT B IN MY MATHS. can you fucking believe that? runescape really ruins my life a lot and i really hate it … But, after reading this article and the comments, it made me realize that i had wasted 3 years of my life for nothing but a game. So, right now i’m in the process of quiting runescape and i hope that quitting runescape would help me get back on track with my life. TO THOSE WHO IS READING THIS, PLEASE QUIT RUNESCAPE. don’t let the game ruined your life and plese don’t make the same mistake i did.

Hi guys,

so yeah i’m in the process if quitting this stuip game. it all started when i was like 10 years old. my best friend started playing runescape and i made an account so we would play together. we played all through the whole summer and then my friend quit the game. i found myself alone and also quit for a while. 2 months later (in 2009) i checked my account and guess what i got addicted again.

-sigh- i played for another like 4 months till march in 2010 and then quit with help from my parents. that summer i got bored so guess what.. i made a new pure account and played all through the summer again. then i started learning about pures and stuff and starting making more and more pures ot pk with and quit my main account. i played from the summer of 2010 and am still playing till today (almost 9 months).

I’ve been adding my hours of play from maybe 1 hour to like 3-5hours daily. things are worst as i have holidays. my grades are still good (but now i’m studying a lot less and i’m in fear that i’ll start to lose my grades. hopefully today is the last time i’ll log in into ruescape.

I’ve joined a tabletennis club like two weeks ago and joined a local organisation to help me not think and play runescape.

This is my story, hopefully i’ll be strong and quit .. for good. if any of u people have never played runescape and are about to try, my answer is NO!! don’t let this stuip game ruin your life… Enjoy life, socialize , have fun with your friends, do hobbies, spend time with ur family.. but DON’T play runescape…

yea, after a while of spending your life playing the game, you start to get chubby, thats why i started botting and i joined tae kwon do… im trying to be more active, but i do play on the weekends, not the week days. its really hard to quit, i dont even want to think about quitting…

i had the same addiction too
i have greatest and most effective tip–> just get on a private server lots r there now then ull realise getting all that cash ingame wasnt worth it ull get maxd in like an hr what u couldnt do in yrs and eventually ul realise there is not much to do in the cursed game than bos hunting and pking which starts to get boring when u do for some hours and eventually ull quit that too and come to realworld =)
